Get baby to sleep....
- When my first born arrived I had really dreadful problems, I don't think I had one complete night's sleep in 2 months, it was awful. As soon as i would put her down to sleep she would strt crying, it was driving me mad....... Then a friend said that she had a similar experience and found the solution on the net. Music! I was somewhat dubious, then she went on to explain about this that it was a womb sound simulation CD which she found here http://cheap-diapers-online.com/health-baby-care/ and she said that using this cd, in less than five minutes her baby son was asleep..! Wow, bring it on........ so the upshot was that I bought one and I just couln't believe, it was absolutely fantastic and my babe was sleeping for most of the night for the first time since she was born..... thank you guys for, you allowed me to live again. sleeping through...
- my baby is now six weeks old and has been giving us 5 - 7 hours of straight sleep through the night since she was about three days old. it hasn't changed except for a few nights where she's been up after three hours. we get one six-hour stretch a day, so we try to time it as best we can to ensure that she does it overnight. she's an angel and we're so lucky, so, yes, it's certainly possible earlier than six weeks, too.

It Gets Better
- My baby is 13 weeks old. When she was first born she would sleep on and off all day long and it would be the same at night, every 1 and a half hours she would wake up to eat... I thought I would never sleep again. And then it got even worse, she was colicky and at night I was barely getting 30 mins of sleep at a time. then it got a little better, she slept 3 hours at a time at night and it felt like the best sleep I ever had. Then FINALLY at 9-10 weeks she slept through the entire night (which was like 9pm-7am) Now a bad night is she wakes up once to eat, or she starts to fuss in her sleep and I give her her pacifier before she wakes up. But usually I put her to bed at 8 or 9 sometimes 10, and she sleeps until about 5am, I feed her and change her and she goes back to sleep until about 9am. W hen she was new and I was crying to my doctor about no sleep she said when the baby starts to sleep all night dont get used to it because of growth spurts. lol. But I know it gets better!
