A great way to create a hearty, satisfying soup is to find recipes that use beans as a primary ingredient. Beans soups are often packed with protein and can fill that grumbling hole in the belly. My favorite is Tuscan Bean Soup. This easy to make soup has so much flavor with turkey kielbasa, tomatoes, and cannelini bean in a chicken broth. You won't regret trying this recipe out.

Like beans, potatoes add bulk to soup that help make the meal a filling one. In some recipes, the potatoes can be prepared ahead of time. Consider boiling your potatoes the night before. That will help you reduce your time in the kitchen during the early evening hours (which we know how those hours are often a baby's witching hour anyway).
