So you tossed something up on your blog, but later feel you should remove it for whatever the reason. Can you delete blog submissions? Yeah, sure you can. The big "however" is that once you hit that enter button, it's possible that anyone could plaigarize your blog by copying your post and publishing it elsewhere on the web.
The truth is that though you can work feverishly to try and prevent this from happening, there is no tried-and-true, not-gonna-happen method of preventing blog theft. You need to realize that some people wrongly think that if it's on the web, it's free for the taking. And well, you've got others out there that know that, but just don't care.
Some things that you can do to curb the frequency of website theft are:
- At the bottom of the work include a © symbol followed by the year and the owner of the material. "All Rights Reserved" is commonly used to express copyright.
- Include "no right click" coding in your HTML. While this method isn't fool-proof either, it may help if even a little.
- Place a transparent graphic over the entire page. However, this may slow down how fast the page downloads and may annoy some legitimate blog readers.
